ABOUT ME
Hi! I was born in Hicksville, NY and lived there until my family moved to Georgia when I was 10 years old, and I've been here ever since. I'm currently a third-year Literature, Media, and Communication major studying at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My concentrations are in Communication and Media, and I am also pursuing a certificate in Marketing. I've always had a passion for learning other people's stories and sharing them with the world, which eventually led me to Georgia Tech's newspaper, the Technique. I began as a contributing writer and quickly worked my way up the ranks, being promoted to a staff writer, then the Head Copy Editor, and currently the Managing Editor. The award I am most proud of receiving in recent years is the "Mortal Enemy of the Em Dash" superlative from the Technique's 2020 banquet.
Transitioning to the Managing Editor position and helping a full staff in the middle of a pandemic was "fun" to say the least, but I pride myself on being a quick learner and extremely flexible. Most recently, that has included running around Atlanta at a moment's notice for election coverage.
